Ya, a lot of resellers are not having modchips because of this Government Raid that is going on! Team Xecuter (They do modchips for the Xbox), said that they are retiring from Modchips, because they don't want to get caught in this!

You won't get caught up in this! Only if you start Pirating Games, and downloading them! When people say that if you have the original, it's okay to get the game burned or downloaded, that is a TOTAL LIE!!! The Government just showed a document that shows that you cannot do that at all!!!

Hi, I've been reading all day. This site and others.

This site seems to like the WiiKey. Others the Cyclo and others the Wiinja.

Looking at getting a chip, asap. But can't decide between the two: WiiKey and Cyclo.

WiiKey says it only does partial boot of NTCS games on my PAL console.

    Cyclo claims this:
Direct boot of PAL Wii imports on NTSC consoles - no patch needed
Direct boot of PAL Wii imports on PAL consoles - no patch needed

Direct boot of NTSC Wii imports on NTSC consoles - no patch needed
Direct boot of NTSC Wii imports on PAL consoles - no patch needed

Can anyone confirm this please? If it can, then that must make the Cyclo better than WiiKey right?

    Many thanks

Looks like the wiip v2 is just pie in the sky.I have got sick of waiting and hearing no news on its development so i am going to get a wiikey installed professionally.
It seems like this is the best chip on the market right now, if i am wrong can anyone tell me which is the best?
Also can anyone recommend somewhere i can get it fitted? I am in England.
    Cheers.

1)Best chip wiinja deluxe, it the best choice for gamecube 100 perecent audiofix, can be update via dvd, can be disable, no need for switch.
    2) cyclowiz, Bloody roar for the gamecube freeze after the character selected, 99 percent audiofix. Can via dvd update. Can also be disable, need switch for update.
    3) worst chip- the wiikey, 50 percent audiofix(lot of dre, some won't boot), messed up even original game. The least updated in all the chip, lied about the feature when it not 100 percent stable. Too many hoped and yet nothing to show it. Also having updated problem for D2B chipset wii. No disable unless add a external switch, not included, not a method from wiikey site. Via dvd update.

I've been hearing the wiikey is the most popular, but yet their are the worst in all the chip. It was popular when it first came out with the cool feature upgradeable, now all chip can do it. Maybe ppls didn't know but the wiikey is not the only chip with overdrive region, all the chip does. Whatever it can do all other can do as all.

I was looking at the modchips as well to figure out what is the best one to get,and after looking at them all I would have to say the CycloWIZ v2.The thing I like about this chip is that it has Dual Layer support, and I'm not sure about the wiinja deluxe.I only compared these modchips so far Wiikey,Wiid, and the CycloWiz v2 modchip. After hearing about the Bloody Roar game I'm having second thoughts now,but could it be a bad rip of the game causing that issue or is it just an issue with the modchip itself.I agree with ninjapath though on the wiikey modchip, because all the other modchips can support everything the wiikey can offer but with more features.

The wii can play dual layer without modchip. wiinja said that they have 50/50 chance of playing dual layer from the wiinja forum. They not too sure since dual layer required more stress on the laser and can only be play by adjusting the pot at the right amount for the laser to read. The cyclowiz said that it was originally can play dual layer but after upgrading the chip, it loss it ability to read it and must need to adjust the pot. Dual layer is only for multi-game disc for gamecube it had no affect for wii game, you can still make multi-game disc for regualr dvd5.

About Bloody Roar, no the wiinja deluxe played it just fine, the wiikey wouldn't boot it. So it had something to do with the audiofix.

They said it supports dual layer, but since it was partially broke in the 3.0 update they fixed it with the 3.5 update for it source http://www.cyclopswiz.com .I wasn't aware the wiikey could read dual layer as well, but in other words is it only available for
GC multi-game compilations or can you use it with Wii games as well to compile multiple games on disc.Your right you do have to do a pot adjustment for the laser.

I'm sure if the cyclowiz can play dual layer and it a drive mod, then of course all other chip can do it as well since they're all the same. It depend on how many ppls demanded. Me, i'm playing it safe since after adjusting the gamecube and ruined it. And no i don't think the wii game can be compile but it could be in future. But i don't do multigame, because i heard that some game doesn't played too well, and caused more harmed to the laser.

Thanks by the way ninjapath for giving me some advice and thought on modchips for the wii.I don't doubt the wiinja deluxe would be a good chip to have, since they had chip development since the GameCube era.I wonder how things are going to turn out when the Action Replay comes out for the wii.I remember when some modchips didn't have the ability to boot pass the Action Replay disc, but integrated a cheat function in the actual bios itself.I don't know just something to bring up on the thought process once again.
