"DISK BOOT FAILURE" (after dvd rom drive installation)

    i need help! today i have decided to buy a dvd rom drive
    i've been using a cd rom drive for the past 2years.. i've bought a
    Sony DVD ROM DRIVE model no. crx320ee. so i've removed my old cd rom drive and replace it w/ my new dvd rom drive, i've connected the cable
    and power chords properly but after i turned my pc on during post
    "DISK BOOT FAILURE INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER" i did double check my connection and everything seems fine.. then i got frustrated
    and i installed again my old cd rom drive and my pc booted w/ no problem. what seems to be the problem w/ the dvd rom drive i bought?
    or is it something to do w/ my drivers? please help me..

    is the new drive jumpered the same as old drive because it appears to be on same cable as your hard drive & jumpered as master the same as your hard drive? should be jumpered slave or cable select to avoid conflict with hard drive.

    i've jumpered it to slave and it worked perfectly.. thanks alot for the
    reply! :)
