    Hi all,

I hope this is in the right place. I purchased a used XBox for my daughter and it doesn't work great. (surprise surprise) Anyway, even on new games that I just bought I get error messages that the Disk may be damaged or dirty. The guy I bought it from said to just blow on it and try again. Well, that doesn't really work.

What are your suggestions to clean it? I tried a regular DVD cleaner and that didn't work. I've read that the only way to really clean them is to take it apart.

Any and all help would be really appreciated.

Did you recieve warranty? If not then I suggest returning it to the person you bought it from only if you are having major problems with it, demand your money back, if he says "no" just sell it on eBay!

[bold]WARNING: DO NOT OPEN THE XBOX!!!IT WILL VOID THE WARRANTY!!![/bold]

i agree, return it and go to a video game store like
Gamestop or EB Games and buy one. Since they are retail stores you are sure to get on that works, and they will stand behind
their products most of the time better than just some guy
    who has a game shop.
