Please read Larry comments below I hope it will help you too.

Credits go to him of course.

    Hi.

    Just a couple of comments.

Nero 6.6.1.4 is a pretty lousy version. If you run into problems with this version, I'd recommend dropping down to 6.6.0.18, imo the most stable and reliable version of Nero. To do so run the Nero 6 Clean Tool after uninstalling and then download and install both of the following packages.

    http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/Nero_6_CleanTool.html

    Package 1: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Ner....0.18_no_yt.exe
    Package 2: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

The last thing is that you're using media manufactured by CMC Mag which is among the poorest quality manufacturers. Most of us recommend Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, and Made in Japan labeled media, especially that by Fuji and Sony. Burning poorer quality media at 8X can be problematic in achieving a good quality burn.

You have only posted a portion of your Nero history log, to locate your problem you need to post the ENTIRE log.

@henryting , I cannot see where you got the info about the Nero version or the CMC mag discs, none of that is shown in the portion of log posted....am I missing something?

with only a portion of your Nero log showing [bold]Illegal Disk[/bold] error we can only guess that maybe your drive and/or Nero is not recognizing your media. Use better media..... stick to the MIJ rule and you can't go wrong...... use media MADE IN JAPAN...... read the label on the box or spindle and make sure it says MIJ. Verbatim is the only exception... these are the only Made in Taiwan disks I will use.... might just fix your problemooooo.

your firmware is old (DL10), update to DL13:
    http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_search.php
just put the model # (GSA-4167B) into the search-------
[bold]Just read your first reply that you did this already![/bold]

Here you have installed Nero version 7 (which is a "buggy" version) so do the following, Uninstall Nero7 and then run clean tools

    Nero7 Clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html

and then install a later version of Nero, 7.0.8.2 or 7.2.7.0 or 7.5.1.1 which are the stable version of 7, all available from this site

    7.0.8.2 http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845

    7.2.7.0 http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?1493

    7.5.1.1 http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?1584

pick your stable version you want!

you are very short on memory! upgrade your memory will make a vast improvement. Do not multi task, go on the internet, and try to close out some unneeded background programs that are running and taking up memory! here is a great program that will help you identify what is running in the background:
I suggest you use a nice little program called Security Task Manager:
    http://www.neuber.com/taskmanager/index.html

    and.........
either you have no disk in the drive or your media is not being recognized.... use better media!
