I have burned over 400 dvd's with no problems using DVD decryptor, DVD 2one, nero and a Pioneer 104. Now all my disks freeze about 1:15 mn into the movie. I thought it might be time for a new burner so I bought sony's DRU-710A. Guess what? Same problem! I tried different media, same problem. I switched all burning activity over to a 2nd boot up hard drive that is pretty clean of all junk programs, same problem. Tried it on different players, same problem. At this point I'm thinking it's a motherboard problem. Can anyone out there help? Any suggestions?
I use DVD-Lab and don't have those problems when playing back DVDs on my Panasonic player/recorder. I deliver wedding videos on DVDs now and have noticed clients having playback problems on certain players (Sylvania and Toshiba mainly). I used PC-Club no-name brand DVDs and won't do that again. They froze up on a Zenith player and when I used Ritek DVDs (bought under Office Depot label, the problem disappeared. There are so many factors involved in burning DVDs - not just whether or not the darn player is DVD-R or DVD+R. Tom H.
