    Hi:

I have been burning to Ritek +R disks. I often get glitching and unreadable copies. I was under the impression that it was related to the quality of the Disk and I thought the Ritek disks were good quality. Can someone please advise me about my problem.
I'm using the Clone DVD 2 software

The easiest suggestion would be to try another brand...is your firmware up to date?

Pixelations and freezes can also be caused by burning too fast. What speed are you burning at?

A good rule of thumb is to burn no faster than 1/2 the rated speed for the disc. Example, if the disc is rated for 8x you should burn at 4x.

    Cheers.

Burning at 2x even though the disk is 8X -- no difference with the Pixilation issue.

Drive Info from Nero Info Tool:

    Firmware: 5D24
    Buffer size: 2MB
Type: DVD +- R/RW DL Recorder
    Drive: Philips +-RW DVD8701
