I don't even know how the hell to do the Disk Quality Test Through Nero. I've seen people's screen shots checking how good the disks are and i want to do it to the Verbatims i just bought. The thing is once i figure how to be able to start it an error comes up pretty much not letting me do it. If someone could tell me how to run it i would sure appreciate it.

    What does the error say?
Not all drives support this. What's the make and model of your drive?

Some versions of nero won't allow it either. That was my case with OEM 6.0.0.21b. Nero disc quality test was grayed out and some other tests gave me an error when I would start them.

I can now get the quality test with my oem nero 6.6.0.14

Insert backup disc/Nero/Toolkit/cd-dvd speed/select drive with the backup disc/extra/disc quality test- It should open up,unless it's grayed out. I set mine to read at 4x.

Doesn't look like Nero supports this with your drive. If your running a newer version of Nero and it's not working that's probably why.

You may be able to do the scan disc- read test - try that tab in cd-dvd speed. This will let you know if there are bad spots on the disc. But if there are problem areas that doesn't always mean the disc won't play fine. May have a problem trying to copy it though.

    edit: spelling

Dvdinfopro may allow you to scan your backups. If you can't get nero's disc quality scan to work:

Try the free version with adverts, but it doesn't last very long:

Not a problem! We all had to start somewhere! Let us know if the scan disc works. Or if DVD InfoPro works.
Oh and you should be good with those Verbatims!
