You can do better with that media. It looks like you are burning to close to the edge. Are your burns set to 4360MB?

I have that drive... You should be scanning at 4X instead of maximum... Check out the scans on my profile...

i also have the drive that teflonmyk and you have...what speed are you burning these TY's at? also, scanning @4x as teflonmyk stated will give you a better score, MOST of the time~ :) LOL

most of the scans you see here in this dvd media forum are scanned @4x...so, if you want to be "on par" with the other guys, then 4x scanning will give you more accurate results, much like everyone else..

    docTY~

p.s. the scan DOES look good, bringing your target limit down just a hair will improve the score too~

I burn @8x, Roxio wont let me go below 6x so I just do 8x. I'll bring my target size down in shrink, What is the least I can bring it down?

Most recommend taking down to 4360MB but I use TY media and go to 4400MB.

yeah i always recommend 4300MB to everyone but i still stick to 4300MB myself (out of paranoia!) and i only burn using top notch Verbatim TY media. better safe than coastered

Once you burn at 4400MB do a scan and then go down to 4300MB and compare them. If the scans are near the same then you'll know for sure how to set your size with that media.

i personally set my target size @ 4400mb too, much like scubabud...depends how confident i am feeling that day with my media...once in a blue moon do i set it to 4300, but it is not a bad idea nevertheless...what's 100mb? it's a small amount of space to ensure quality burns... :)

    docTy~

p.s. 8x burns using that burner give ME the best results too~ :0 i have taught u well J_Savage~ :) LOL

Like I mentioned before, you can always stretch when you use quality media. :)

P.S. how do these scans look to you are they up to par?

"So I should go back to 4464mb?"

No, I wouldn’t go past the 4400MB size just to be on the safe side and only when using real quality media.

"P.S. how do these scans look to you are they up to par?"

    There’re just fine. :)
