Hi, I recently soft modded my 4.0u NTSC Wii using the guide from these forums. My home brew works fine. I tried to back up 2 of my games Mario Party 8, and a Food Network Cooking game. I burned 3x copies each by burning the .iso with ImgBurn at 4x on Verbatim DVD-R's.

-What happens is I load Neo Gamma Rev7/load from DVD/ and the disk just spins and i eventually get a time out message (on every copy). Then i tried the Geko v1.9 as well and it just says there is no disk.

-Does anyone have any ideas, i've def. followed the guide to the 'T' i have modded my Gamecube, XBox, & PSP and understand the Wii is different, but i do follow guides/instructions step by step, just wondering what this error is - i've done some googling homework just cant seem to find the answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated, THANK YOU!! :)

Are you by any chance using DVD-R? If so, try a different brand or adjust the burn speed.

I am getting a Disc read error 1101 when using Neo Gamma Rev7 after modding a brand new wii. I heard new model have a chipset that prevent the drive from reading DVD-R disc. Is that true by any chance.

If you have newer systems the DVD drive will not play backup disc. In this case you will need to use a USB Loader.
