I have a 1.6mgh computer, with an Radeon 9200se. I am wondering if this is good enough to show a movie on a large tv using the dvi output of the radeon for a dvi to hdmi cable. Perhaps using the normal video output might be better if I setup the output to a higher value than 1024x768 (2048x1536?)

My question, I guess is whether my display board is good enough or should I get another? (suggestions?)

    Thank you.......

If your video card has an output for hooking up to a tv, it should be good enough to do the job. I don't know about the 2048x1536 though. The highest resolution tvs right now are just 1920x1080, so I'd stay with the 1024x768.

    Thanks for the reply..........

I set it to 19?? as you suggested and simply used the pc input on my tv and the picture seems to be good. Now I have to deal with the sound. I will do that tonight. Unfortunately I can't run the sound through my receiver so I will have to use the tv speakers (which are not all that bad but mine are much better). That resolution, however, raised cain with my normal output but I think I have that fixed (I need to get a better wireless keyboard and mouse to really make it better).

Once I get this much done then I have to make some decisions as to my next move. I am currently with dish network but I am not completely convinced that I shouldn't simply move to the internet as I suspect that its moving kinda quick in that direction.

    Thanks again!
