So i recently bought a VGA cable for my xbox so i can play it on my CRT monitor. I did this cause i have normal tv, SDTV and i read all over the net that VGA is a lot better than SDTV. So i connected, everything works fine. Okay the resolution is better than on my SDTV, BUT IT SEEMS THAT I DON'T GET HDR AND BLUR. wtf ? i played gta 4 on my tube tv (SDTV) and it looked nice with HDR and all this stuff, when sun shines, all these reflections from car and all that shit. it looks nice. But on my SAMSUNG CRT Monitor it looks like and ordinaty game, the resolution is fine but i don't get HDR. Any suggestions ? thanx
Just checke on my other LCD Monitor. Same here. WTF. normal tube tv better than lcd monitor ? watafak
chelovegg, first check you're lcd screen resolution and go to you're xbox system setting->console setting->display and change the display to match you're lcd.
well i changed that to the resolution that goes with my lcd (not widescreen) and about crt. tried many resolutions... Well hdr is not gone completely but its not like on the sdtv.. lol. ah crap .. thanx anyways guys
Mine looks and works great on my monitor. Did you get a 3rd party VGA cable? How big is your monitor? What brand is it/how old is it/that sort of thing.
