everytime I download a mp3 file from our favorite P2P program and try to play it on on win media player 9 my file will play for 10sec and then make a really annoying swishing sound.

my question is does anyone know why this is so?
My first guess is that the file is getting corupted while downloading(im on a wireless network that constantly get d/c form the net) or I dont have the proper codecs

im running win xp w/ a P4 with 256RAM, any help would be appriciated.

Depending on which p2p network you use will depend if you get the swish noise.Alot of p2p files on kazaa for example will allow a sample but if you want the whole thing you will have to pay for it.

i guess a solution for you is to hunt around abit and find another site like shareaza.

i heard about a program that detects these type of files if you are a kazaa user. just wondered if anyone has heard of this and if it works.
