Hi, I download and share files from Bear Share.com and find many file bnames that include either the word DivX or DVDRip in their title. Does this mean they have already been encoded and can go right to CloneDVD2, which I use for burning? If so, sure would save me a ton of time. I use DivXToDVD and Any DVD for encoding, if that helps any. Thanks, GaLady/lynn
Hi there, The latest version of VSO DivxToDVD v2.00 (Pre-Release v1.99.13) has it's own built in burn engine now. If you are using the freeware version v0.5.2b it will create a directory called VIDEO_TS You can burn this VIDEO_TS with any burning software. VSO CopyToDVD, Nero Burning Rom, CloneDVD2 (Never seen it) should also be able to burn it for ya !
Thanks, unless I misunderstood you, I still don't know if I have to encode files that have the words DivXToDVD in their names or the words DVD Ripped. They are in the name of the file that I download and I am wanting to know if anyone knows if that indicates that they have already been encoded. I have no problem running them through the encoding process with DivXToDVD and Any DVD (other than the time it takes) and then burning with CloneDVD2, but I jjust want to know if I can bypass the encoding part and go straight to burning if those words appear in the name of the file. Such as... "Meet The Fockers DVDRipped.avi or .mpg. Thanks, " GaLady Lynn
Hi there, Most internet movies regarless of the name, are in .AVI or in .MPG format. And YES they have to converted to .ifo/.vob format to play in a DVD player. So this "Meet The Fockers DVDRipped.AVI" needs to be converted with a tool like VSO DivxToDVD before burning (VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS Dirs).
OK, thanks. Think I've got it now. I do have the retail version of VSO, so will upgrade, which I have neglected to do until I see that it now has burn functionality. Thanks for the enlightenbment. GaLady
why go through all that .go buy a phillips dvd-divx player one can be bought for around 60.00. and start burning all your DL movies, clips, etc as data disc either cdr or dvdr put your burnt disc in your new player and enjoy. i used to convert which takes hours now i burn the file in 2-3min tops and im watching my movie
