Here is the situation: My school is very censored about students doing stuff with the school computers. You can't download Divx on their computers, so I want to convert a Divx encoded movie to be independent. Meaning, I would like to be able to burn it onto a CD and do not want to have to use any Codex that wouldn't work with either Windows Media player or Quicktime; the movie is in *.Avi format. The computer there are MACs.

Could you please give me a link to a good converter that will convert a Divx movie to a quicktime(Because that is the only player I have access to at school). Thanks!

You could put mplayer, VLC or Media Player Classic (plus codecs) on the disc with the movie. That way you don't need to worry about players. mplayer is probably the best since it is basically just one exe.
