    hello,

i am rather new to this, but can read instructions! there doesn't seem to be a guide on how i would shrink divx episodes & put them onto a dvdr, so that i could have more than 1 episode per dvdr?

how would i go about this? would it be the same as shrinking a movie, then burning it?

    hi

you shrink the converted vobs from the divx, not the divx...

divxtodvd will make dvd files to load to dvd shrink, divxtodvd can load multiple divx too as to make one file/film, say its in 2 parts?

and dvd shrink can load say 2 films that have been encodeded in re-author mode

also avi2dvd a free too can make avi files to dvdr or SVCD-(cdr's) can also load multiple files of avi too.

when attempting to add more than one job, it says a message 'two jobs have the same output path, please change the output path of the second job'.

    what does this mean?

if you keep the same folder to output the files to it will over write the first job of (vob/ifo/bup) and loose first batch encode...

just make different folders output for each film / batch job

    hi

are the sources parts of the same film? if so avi2dvd loads multiple files to get to one film output!

if you have 2 films sparately use dvd shrink on re-author mode

loueez , Your syntax is garbled. There are 3 distinct steps to do what you want to do .

First you have to transcode or convert your divx episode files to DVD format. The process of transcoding makes the files BIGGER it does not SHRINK them. A half hour DIVX file is generally about 350 mb`s. After transcoding with something like VSO`s DIVX to DVD the file is about 800 mb`s to 1 GB. This can take up to 30 minutes for each half hour of video.

SECOND, After converting your DIVX files to DVD. You can use something like DVD Shrink to combine up to 4 or 5 800 mb to 1 GB files onto 1 DVD.By using the reauthor method like rotary said. Find each file , OPEN the folder Drag it to the left window, keep going until all the episodes are moved to the left window. Then click on the BACKUP button. After apprx. 4 minutes you will have a file to burn.

Third , Burn the file that you created with Nero or the equivalent. Be sure to use the proper DVD format. All your DVD Shrink files MUST be in the VIDEO_TS folder and there must be a empty AUDIO_TS folder, on the DVD.

    Fourth ... Good Luck

You can not "shrink" a file that is already shrunk.....

Syntax may not be accurate , but its close.....

Actually my "Syntax" is not accurate either......
