I purchased a philips home theatre recently that plays divx files. Most of the movies I have burnt work really well. I have been burning the divx and avi files to blank cd's using nero and burning them as data cd's. Every now and then some of the movies have a delay in the sound. Some do and some do not. They always play good on my computer but not on the dvd player. Anyone have any ideas why or is it just the files? Seems wierd that they play fine on the computer but when played on the dvd player there is a delay.

Would need stats on the files also the model number of the player. For instance the old DVP-642 had problems with N-VOP's (would lose audio sync every time it hit one). The newer players, not being ESS based should not.

HTS3440/37 Phillips Home Theatre. As far as the files and ESS, I have no idea. They were files I downloaded in divx and avi I think. Just wondered why some might work and some don't. I would like to be able to avoid these kind in the future but have no idea what to look for.
