Hey I'm new and it's great to be here, anyways I was wondering anyone knew if DivX can playback on a standalone DVD player. I had burned a couple of media files but they diden't playback on my DVD player. Is it my DVD or you just can't play DivX on players, please help.
For DivX playback you really need a DivX certified player, although since the DivX container is based on avi it should play back on non certified MPEG4/AVI players. For menu and other advanced features you need DivX Ultra Certification and I don't think that there are any such players out yet.
