help, I finally got divx player 6.1 to work on my computer. It id reading the file, but it only plays about 8 seconds before an ad interupts the movie. Advertisements are of downloading the converter, and other software divx is selling. I am using the free trial version. Do I need the paid version to keep the advertisements from popping up.
I have the free version but have never had pop up ads. Only on the screen itself before or after I play a movie. Did you download it from teh official divx site? When I first installed my free version it contained quite a few trojans that my antivirus thankfully caught. I was new to the viewing biz though so I don't remember where I downloaded it from but I don't think it was the official site. Stick to the official sites of anything you download.
