hi guys i was trying to convert some asf files to avi...and WINAVI video converter is asking me for a program DIVX PRO..IT SAYS that the trial period has expired....if somebody ca share with me please iuse winxp..i saw in the file section for winme and win98... thanks in advance
No probs buddy, the files you desire are right here: http://www.divx.com/divx/create/divxpro/ They require $20 bucks though... I recommend XviD http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/xvid_koepi_unstable.cfm It's free! :^) L8R
DivX 6 Pro I believe now continues working after the trial. You just get certain features disabled. It still does DivX HT profiles though which I think is an improvement over previous non pro versions that did not offer bframe encoding. I agree though, XviD is the better codec. That said I have not tried out DivX 6's new insane mode.
OK i installed the recomended XVID..and then i try to do this coversion from asf to avi click ok and got this message 'stat's file not found" click ok and then ..."fail in initializing the file" i suppose this is about the settings..how can i fix this? this is turning bad you know
well i check that option is true,,,but with a second pass you get a better picture quality............anyway i get superdvd creator ..and it works fantastic.. thanks to all
Yeah, a 2nd pass will give you better quality for a given filesize, but of course you need to run the 1st pass first.
hi acuariano, I also have met such problem 'stat'sfile not found' before. However, after I reset the output directory, everything goes well! So please check whether the default stats file path was invalid. By the way, current, the latest version of WinAVI is version 6.3 http://www.winavi.com/video-converter.htm
i get an error message when i'm trying to convert avi files to mpeg.. it says some ntdll.dll error.. how to resolve this? The avi file is actually the videos captured with the web camera. Is that got to do with this error because other avi files conversions work fine. Please tell me what to do. Thanks
