DivX to DVD conversions keeps slowing down?

    I have the free version 0.5.2.99

    When I start conversion I am on 41 fps then as it starts the fps slows down continuously which is really slowing it down.

    Currently dropped to 17.5 fps


    Please help me!

    When was the last time you defragged your HD?
    How much free space to you have on the drive?

    Is anything else on your system slowing down?

    If your HD starts to go bad it will do retries
    to read the file without error, slowing it down.
    So if you notice anything else seems funky AFA
    HD goes, run a drive diagnostic.
