divx to dvd problem

    ok i used divx to dvd to get a divx movie i had ready to burn on a dvd it encoded the files then i tried burning it on nero and it said it found problems with the files and if i countinue buring the disc might be un readable and then dvd shrink when i tired burning with tht it said that it was missing a file can someone help?? im using maxell its very good nevery had a prob wit it anytaway the edia cant be the problem so someone help soon please

    whoa whoa whoa first of all you can view a dvd file on your computer to see if it works prior to burning it on a disk. so why don't you see if it plays first, before burning it.

    second its hard to understand what's going on in your description, personally i stay away from those idiot-proof programs named avi2dvd or avi2mpg or whatever. i'd suggest encoding it into a dvd compatible file with a program like tmpgenc or mainconcept. then creating the dvd files with a dvd authoring program, viewing them on your computer to make sure they work, then burning them onto a disk.

    but if you don't want to take advice from a "newbie" i guess you can wait for someone else to figure out what's wrong and try help you out.
