many of the films i have downloaded in xvid or divx format when i try to convert them back to dvd they loose the sound half way thru, i have tried to do the conversion in a number of differant ways but still get the same result, anybody had the same problem and has found a way to solve this. heres hoping for an answer !
Have you tried our guide for this? http://www.afterdawn.com/articles/archive/convert_avi_to_dvd.cfm ...and does the audio play correctly when you play the actual DivX file on your PC?
yes the files play ok in divx and yes i have checked out the guides its almost like there is something embeded in the films to stop you re-encoding them back to dvd
What I would do Is Exreact the audio from your AVI files and use a totally seperate audio encoder to encode the audio and before authoring to dvd you scan through the audio and Make sure it is all there, Or even load it into a Good audio editor so you can see if it is all there.....Cheers
