divx to dvd with no black bands

    Hi
    Can anyone help me ive just brought a portable divx/dvd player i have encoded a couple of camcorder files of the kids and it leaves a black band top and bottom it is a widescreen player so i encoded it with avs and nerovision but no luck is there a certain size i need to set it. Can anyone help

    Try using ConvertXtoDVD. It's the best converter/DVD authoring software you can get with excellent results. It will convert your cam files to DVD complete with customisable menus. Spend a few minutes in the options area before using it.

    Thank you very much for your reply
    Could you possibly tell me the settings because sometimes i set it to 16:9 and with my tv and portable dvd player it still encodes with black bands why carnt you just set it to encode full screen

    The whole video is showing, those black and white ands are because it is "Widescreen".
    Set the video to 4:9 in ConvertXtoDVD's settings.

    hi corn

    have checked settings and they only say 4:3 and 16:9

    ive tryed all the other settings and the only one i can find is in the video resize method about streching screen etc
