   Why when I try to encode using a DiVx .avi file using TMPGEnc I only see a black screen in the prview window and when the file is done encoding it only has the sound no picture??? any help would be great.

   Does the video play ok on your PC -- I mean the AVI?

   Yes all the avi's i tryed play just fine as avi's
