DIVX Video Output like Thumbnail

    I downloaded "the hills have eyes" yesterday. Used ashampoo to convert it from AVI to keep the quality intact...but i got the shock of my life..the final video size (not resolution but the physical size) was like a thumbnail??? What did i do wrong? It will increase once i view it on a TV but 65% of the screeen is just a black frame.... Pls advise
