    Load VTS_01_0

A two hour movie compressed down to 700MB (by selecting a custom size for the output) might be a good starting point.
DivX and XviD codecs are two sides of the same coin.
Either is used to compress the the DVD files.
Feel free to start a bunfight by stating one is better than the other.
DivX is a commercial product, Xvid (DivX backwards) is free.
Some standalone DivX players might not want to play an XviD file - most will.
Converting and compressing a large movie takes time (overnight?).

    Good luck!.
