I recently bought a Samsung DVD-R135 DVD recorder for my home theater. It plays my Divx/XVid files just fine that are in the 620x350 resolution range. But I tried burning one higher resolution Xvid file that was 720 x something and it said it couldn't play it.

So my question is this: how does one find out what resolution these Divx/Xvid units can play? I didn't see anything in the manual or in the online documentation for my player. My previous player, the Avayon 1000 also could not play these higher resolution files. But the Sammy is an upscaling player so I thought perhaps it could do it?

Perhaps the particular file was in an unsupported format which is unrelatd to resolution, but before I try burning a differnt one, I thought I would check here.
