Hi there, When converting with DivxToDVD, are you using "Auto" as the output format, or are you forcing it to FullScreen or WideScreen ?
Hi there, If you have a Widescreen TV, and force the video to FULL SCREEN, you will have 2 large black bars on both sides, kinda what you are seeing. (I think, I don't have a widescreen tv) I always let the software decide what is best, based on the video ratio. If it should be fullscreen, I let the "Auto" select fullscreen. Same for widescreen. Cause I think if it's a fullscreen file, and you force it to Widescreen, and you do have a widescreen tv, it will fill the image but strech the movie. (Again I think since I've never done it)... Here's what I would do. Look at the input file, is it Widescreen or fullscreen ? Then convert it twice. Let's say it's fullscreen, convert it fullscreen (Or set it auto) then force it to widescreen. Burn both on DVD-RW and see what difference it makes with your TV ! My 2 cents...
actually now that i think about it the problem is that the movie is zoomed in so the sides of the movie are not visible, and when i place it on auto, the files i have on my computer are widescreen, so the divxtodvd says widescreen, but now im thinking about rebuying my movie since i lost my first copy while moving =P
