ive been putting my cds onto my computer then onto my ipod but a few albums like all of Dizzee Rascals and the Beastie Boys and some 'best ofs' an artist appear in the compilations section under 'Various- Boy in da corner' instead of Dizzee Rascal- boy in da corner im guessing its because there is alot of featured artists on the album. can i change this? id rather it has Dizzee Rascal in the 'artists' list bit.
If you are using windows: 1. Open iTunes. Change the "view" in the top right of iTunes to "list," which is the far left of the three "view" buttons. 2. In either Music or a playlist, right-mouse click on any song you have just transferred. 3. Click on "get info" 4. Click on the "info" tab on the window that opens. 5. Change the info for the song; change the artist name, the album, and if you want, the song title. If you want to change the info for multiple songs at once, meaning ALL the songs you want to change will have either the same artist or same album etc., you can hold ctrl and click on the songs you want to change to select them all at the same time, and then repeat steps 2 through 5. To select multiple songs that are one right after the other, click on the first song, hold shift, then click on the last song, and all songs in between will be selected. hope this helps.
