just purchased the DK digital 339 divx player.

it has firware version 44.00.00.05 on it.

ive only tried a few divx & xvid files but have found a slight stutter when some of the movies were playing?

has anyone had this problem? will it be resolved with a firmware upgrade?

someone mentioned it could be to do with how the files have been encoded. imma newbie so have no idea as ive just downloaded a few divx & xvid files so i dont know how to check this.

    many thanks for any help

    Hi

I also have the same firmware version and have noticed that the only format the player has problems with is Xvid, the playback being either stuttery or unexpectedly pausing every few seconds.Playback of Divx files is fine with the ones i have tried so far.

I think i've found a solution to this after doing some searches on the problem,i found out that some Divx and Xvid files have packed bitstreams. What you need to do is get a small utility called mpeg4 modifier - http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/MPEG-Modifier-Download-14535.html

You will also need to install the .net v1.1 framework to run this utility - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...e3-f589-4842-8157-034d1e7cf3a3&displaylang=en

This will unpack the bitstreams and save the modified file.I have tried a couple of Xvid files after unpacking and they played fine without any stutter on my DK Digital DVD 339

    Hope this helps...
