If I rip a movie using DVD Decrypter (ISO mode) with an imported PSL2 file do I need to bother using FixVTS? I want to burn it with ImgBurn to a DL disc.

It is my understanding that I only need to use FixVTS if I want to use Shrink to fit to a SL disc.

If you rip in File Mode does it retain the original layer break info?

I'm guessing that it does not and thats why you would use PgcEdit to set the layer break.

My goal is to make a 1:1 backup with the least amount of steps.

    Thanks

You should not have to use FixVTS, I used Decrypter in iso read mode and then write for DL of Narnia and it worked out fine. Playback is perfect. Did not even use a PSL on that one, Decrypter ripped it fine is iso mode, also did Greatest Game Ever Played which has the same protection just using Decrypter in iso and burned to DL and it is also fine. However, the file would not open correctly in Shrink, so yes for that reason you would need FixVTS.

    Cool.. Thanks.

If I come across a disc that DVD Decrypter won't read do you recommend the PSL files or would you use AnyDvd running in the background?

I am lazy so I use AnyDVD in the background, but that is usually in file mode. I have only really needed it with The Fog in iso, otherwise for DL I try to not use it.
