I posted a thread yesterday about how I cannot enable DMA mode for my burner. Well I got it to work and this is what I did. I swapped the drives. I put the DVD burner to Master and the DVD ROM to Slave. Now the DVD burner rips really fast but now the DVD ROM is stuck in PIO Mode. Any suggestions how to enable this?

in device manager goto the properties of the drive & put a checkmark in the dma box than might have to restart windows
