I just bought a backup of need for speed shift from online. I ran it through abgx and all crc's are matching apart from DMI is unverified / anyDVD style corruption was not detected game crc = 108088f9 <matches> and verification failed. Should i rip the game and burn to be safe or will i still be safe with this copy??
Its typically no big deal but you can try using autofix...just change the autofix setting and it will try and change the DMI to a verified one if there is one available on their servers. Basically all "DMI not verified" means is that that specific rip hasn't been uploaded to abgx.
will abgx autofix a burned disk? so its just the DMI thats making it fail verification and nothing to worry about. Thanks ace i just like to try and be as safe as i can cut the chances of getting banned just b4 the new call of duty comes out lol
abgx360 will not fis a disk because a disk is read only. You would have to rip that disk to your hard drive to be able to fix the DMI.
i thought so im playing the game now anyway as ace said the DMI is nothing to worry about so hopefully i will be ok thnx
DMI not verified means that the copy of the game you have was ripped from a different copy then the one in the database. Usually different factories etc.. This is normal. Do not autofix your game with the one in the database though. That could cause an issue of getting banned. If you trust your source, your fine.
The DMI is now scanned for corruption before being accepted into the Data Base, so patching with the DMI from the Data Base shouldn't be an issue.
i got it from backupgames.net and i trust them as i have bought 12 or so games from there and all have fully passed abgx with no problems.the games also come on printable verbs so you can print the cover on it as i do

You have dragged up a 7 year old thread and added to it.Surprised the original didn't get wiped off due to copyright infringements. You need to start your own thread but doubt people will help as your log file clearly states you acquired your ISO not from a game you actually own and even this is a contentious issue depending what laws are set in place within the country you reside in. This whole "archived" thread needs to be taken off Afterdawn.
It's only five years old, not 7, but I am with you about the archieved threads, in the PSP section there is one that was 8 years old until someone dug it up again: http://forums.afterdawn.com/threads/how-do-u-no-if-a-psp-is-bricked.480211/page-2#post-5011027
Sorry for the mistake in years. It might be something that webmasters/moderators of the afterdawn forums could possibly sort out that archived threads cannot be "reinvented" or written to.Just new threads or given a one month buffer.
