    Hey everyone, I need some help!! I installed my dms4 pro solderless, and my ps2 don't work now. I can take the chip out and it works fine but when I put the chip back in it won't even come on. Any suggestions?

    Sounds like there's something wrong with your chip!

    @hardcore1: Sounds like a bad installation. The clips, while easier to install than soldering, aren't fool-proof. Did you try hooking up the tester? It's the hexagon-shaped pcb. The tester can tell you if one of the pins on the clip isn't making contact or you mis-aligned the clip. You need to get a battery clip at Radio Shack or something to power it.

    The tester is the thing in the upper right corner of this picture:

    @killer: DMS4 Pro EZI is a solder-less modchip. That's what hardcore1 has.

    About $30 premium over their soldered DMS4s. A relative bargain if you can't find a reputable installer in your local area.

    $30 premium OVER their regular DMS4, so total of about $80. However, a pro installation of a soldered modchip is more than just the cost of the service. It's also peace of mind, experience, and a guarantee your system will work.

    hardcore1, i'm having the same problem as you. when i turn my ps2 (v5) on, i get a solid red screen. i can remove the wiring to the bios clip and it works fine. my test lights are all green and i have verified that the chip is grounded and have read voltages at the bios and DSP clips with a multimeter. you should hook up your test lights and see if it shows a bad connection, then check all connections with a multimeter.
