They're both very good chips. I would recommend the DMS if you have an older PS2 and the Matrix if you have a slimline PS2 (the Matrix is more stable in the slimlines than the older PS2s).
they are both equally stable in either slim or fat console. the DMS4 Pro SE offers direct boot to a harddrive as well as a built in cheating device when flashed with the Toxic OS, the MI only offers booting to the HD via Dev mode (which the DMS has as well) it boils down to which options are you most interested in. kc
