Hello There. I was browsing the internet with intent to mod my ps2 and i came across the DMS4 Pro Modchip which doesnt require any soldering. It apparantly boots homebrew CD's. Is that stuff like backups, DVD-9s and Imports? Thank you. A speedy reply will help so much: http://www.mrmodchips.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=137
No, a homebrew CD is a disc usually containing a .ELF file, such as a homemade program or the program you are using to flash the modchip. Most of the newer chips don't play backups right after you install them. Instead you have to flash them with basically a new operating system before they can play backups. The DMS4 EZI LITE has to be flashed with Toxic Bios, and the DMS4 EZI Pro has to be flashed with ToxicOS. You burn these elf files to a disc, and this is what you would call a homebrew CD. Cheers, Tony
