Is it possible to play DNAS protected online games on a PSTwo Slimline version (V12)? If so please let me know where I can find a guide, currently, I am trying to use the guide at http://www.ps2nfo.com/on-line.html, but so far I am getting nowhere. any help will be much appreciated. Thank You

here is my specific question: I want to know if it is possible to play dnas protected games on a slimline ps2. i am using the guide above. It states: 3) Now that your PS2 game back-up image is made, you'll need to download the Disc ID Utility V0.2A and burn it to a CDR as detailed HERE. when i click the link to the Disc ID Utility V0.2A it says: NOTE: These versions only work with PS2 v1-8 consoles... there is NO version which works correctly yet with v9+ or the new Slimline PSTwo consoles! So, is there any other way to do this?
Listen to this carefully. Sony does NOT check to see which DNAS ID belong to which game. So if a Devil may Cry ID is patched over Kill Zone, as long as the ID is valid, you will be able to get online. I say you can just simply go buy an old ps2, buy a very crappy game. get the ID from that game by using the old ps2. Then returned the old ps2 and now u can use that ID to patch to your new games. Easy !
wow, that is a good idea, I think I may try it (but instead of buying and returning an old ps2, I could just use my friends) I have heard arguments that the same ID doesnt work for all games, could this be true? Also, if any old ID works, then why couldnt I get it from someone elses game, or find one online?
better method: the problem with the pstwo is that you cant make the disc stop spinning if you are using the sm method, so i just pulled the disc id utility out while it was spinning and popped the game i needed the data for in. Its a little bit redneck, but for now it is the best solution that I have found.
I'm not sure about "ALL" the games. As far as I can tell, the same ID i got from this crappy game "Reign of Fire" works for all of my games (including Area 51, Kill zone).
Do you guys always do everything the hard way? lol You dont really need the disc id utility to get the ids just go to this site http://forums.psxforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=19549&start=0 and get the last 3 sets of numbers from the game ex. xx xx 9d 8c 4b and makeup the first 2 sets of numbers and presto you have the id! If you are a noob and still have no idea what im talking about just read up on that site and it will tell you how to do it.
the website is a hoax. The guy asks u to give him your original DNAS ID from your game. Only an idiot like u cincyfan will give him your ID cause no oen in this room will. And pirating DNAS ID is completely prohibit on this website so stop talking about it.
