Hi, I am new here to this forum. I have read quite a few posts and they seem to be informative. I tried searching the forums to answer my question but I have had no luck. What I am looking for a tool that will allow me to transcode/rip foreign language discs that also have menus in foreign languages. Does shrink support this? I also would like to also include in the new output both english language (and subtitles) AND the foreign language of my choice. Is there anything that might allow PAL<>NTSC conversion as well. If the language matters I am primarily interested in Russian and German along with English. Thanks!
Any DVD backup tool should work. The program doesn't actually have to read any language from the disc, just copy video, audio, and subtitle streams. PAL to NTSC is another story, since it requires more than just backing up. If you do a search you will come up with several threads about this and several different solutions.
Thanks vurbal! I will look for the PAL<>NTSC convertors and see what I can find. Now all I need to do is make my DVD drive region free!
