I'm thinking of buying a HD DVD player but i don't have a high def tv, so my question is can i still view hd dvd movies on a standard tv? I do plan on having a high def tv but its nowhere in the near future(for financial reasons )
if u dont have a HDTV theres no point in wasting ur money on a hd dvd player rite now might aswell wait til u do u'd probably get a better player by the time u get ur tv and probably cheaper.....u can run hd component or hdmi to ur tv if thats what ur askin so if ur tv doesnt have them then its a waste of money til u get a tv with HD...better off saving the money now and gettin a better deal then.....
Like b18 wrote, if you have component cables on your TV it might be worth it if you plan on getting a HDTV in the future. The upconvert feature on HD-DVD Player is far superior to that of standard upconvert DVD players. So you will notice a litle bit of a better picture when playing on standard tv (not much better), but HD-DVDs won't look any better than standard DVDs upconverted. With all these black Friday sales coming up, you can probably pick one up for $100 to $150. I picked up six Toshiba HD-A2 at walmart for $98 apiece.
yea i just picked up a Toshiba HD-A3 for 199 so if u have a hdtv or hd components pick one up if just standard rca's its of no use to u now as it only runs hd component and hdmi....hope that helps
