    Hey everyone,

I'm new here and quite new to GameCube modding but i have several tutorials on how to mod it.

However, i was wondering if i do the softmod trick with an SDCard and SDLoad, can i just run a bios that is in .dol format without actually flashing my GameCube bios? Or will it automatically flash my GameCube when it is launched?

You can just run the bios in dol format( I use GCOS). I load it using the SD Adapter and Action Replay (the AR is to load the files). You don't have to worry about flashing your bios since it doesn't do that. Once the card is taken out of the memcard slot, everything is back to normal again( you can't play back ups then until you put it back in the slot).

Thank you Keebles, oh and you wouldnt happen to know if SnesGX can read roms off a memory card rather then a burnt DVD-R disc?

Im not sure, but if you want to try to load a SNES rom off the card, you can(to see if it supports it, if not, Then you have to put them on a DVDr. Happy modding

PS> do you have the BBA for the Gamecube, it is the only other way to rip the games besides using a mod chip with usb cable to rip them.
