Sorry if this has been asked before, but If I purchase the Kryptview or Starview box, will i also need the basic tv package from vm for it to work? I am currently using an old starview box, which was connected via my broadband, so i dont have a tv package just the broadband, will the new boxes still work in this way? Thanks,

    Hi

Sorry to keep asking the same question again, its just i keep seeing contradictory responses on various threads, and so It becomes confusing.

Om so my current setup with an old starview box, I have my broadband, I use a splitter so I have one cable going to my modem, and another straight into the box. Everything was working fine.

With the new sv6, i keep reading about how using a splitter is no good, about how you need to have the tv cable connected to your box, how you shouldnt be on virg*n, all of which would be no good for me with my current setup. Would it be possible to expain in laymans terms whatI need, don't need to get an sv6 working?

    Thanks,

    what you have will work
get your cable going to new box
then your other cable going to modem/router and then your lan cable from modem to box aswell

aha slowly making sense now, My modem currently has the ethernet cable going from there to the computer, there isn't another connection for another ethernet cable, how would it be possible to get this lan connection from going there to the box as well? Thanks,

well at the moment you would have to share usage between them
or your other option is a router
