I just got myself brand new 105. Is it vital or not that I immediately update the firmware? From reading the various boards it would appear that I should, yet Pioneer's own site says it is not required..? Or should I just start burning, see how it goes and if it aint broke, dont fix it! For the record, I've made one coaster from one attempt, tho I think using a 4X Bulk Paq might have something to do with that.. Cheers Chaps
Upgrade and the DVD will be ripped a lot faster and your drive will be multi-regional Here: http://www.chrismccann.co.uk/pioneer_firmware_upgrades.htm_X_X_X_X_X_[small]Im gonna find you, and im coming to get YOU! [/small]
Thanks chaps, for the rather confusing advice!! Is there anybody else who has upgraded their firmware and had a good or bad experience?
lol - Im not pressuring you. Im advising based on my own experiences. There have been known issues with upgrading the firmware, however, the site i provided you with gives you the opportunity to downgrade it again without any problems. At the end of the day its your prerogative to upgrade. Chris
