I successfully ripped and burned a few movies at a relative's house, but she has two DVD drives. I had to put the master copy dvd (The Notebook) in the top drive, but when I went to burn a copy I had to put it in the bottom drive because dvd decryptor said "no media found" or something to that effect. My question is...I only have one DVD drive on my computer (Sony DRU-720A) so do I need a second drive to rip and burn movies? I have not tried yet because I'm broke and haven't been able to buy any blanks. Thanks!

One drive is fine. Her's would work with one also, it was just configured, at that moment, to read one and burn the other.
Since you mentioned DVDDcrypter, you should either download it here or copy it off of her computer, Download DVDShrink (assuming you don't already have Nero), both aforementioned downloads are free, then follow this guide,

Thank you so much. I'll write back with any problems...which I'm sure I'll run into.
