Can anyone tell me do i need to have two satillites to get channels from 13east and 28.2 or is there away of doing this with one satillite.
you need 2 boxes - 1sky box -1 normal sat box yes you need 2 dishes as the gap between 28.2 and 13 is too big a gap for 2 offset lnbs if you were trying to get astra 19 degrees and hotbird at 13 the gap is only 6 degrees . your local sat installer will probably tell you its ok but a friend of mine had it installed a few ago and it wasnt great . he has since done what i have suggested at the top of this reply, a sky dish is no use for hotbird you will need a different size 90 cm to 1 mtr plus it is better with a solid dish for hotbird to pull in the european stations. would you not think of a motorised dish you will pull in about 50 satellites and 5 to 6000 stations
So if i got a motorised dish would that stop the need to have two dishes and 2 boxes,or would i still need another dish to pick up the xxx channels,i like the idea of the motorise dish with all them channels.Can you recomend a motorised dish and box for this purpose,as id like to try this motorised dish out.
see my reply to your question about using a sky box to pick up other sats , all the info to this and all sat questions is in the magazine ,i dont think we are allowed reccomend any gear or suppliers , but as i said there are a few irish suppliers who have all the sat gear who advertise in the mag , there are also a of lot of uk companies who post to ireland .... many companies who advertise in the mag have cards for all sort of channels inc sex -- premier league etc. all you need is money
u can use 1 box and 1 dish -- get good box (dm500s or dm600s or dm800s)-- if u have sub sky viewing card -- this box WILL work ok with that along with the 13.0e - diseqc switch for two lnb - lnb holder(for 2-nd lnb) - 90 cm dish (TRIAX)-- 13.0e focus, 28.2-side or get motor -- more fun and more sats!!! ( stab hh100 )
