Your laser will burn out faster with Memorex than with Verbatim. With Verbatim, it's much easier to read the disc, and, therefore, the laser does not have to work as hard. Memorex, however, are low quality, and therefore strain the laser.
just depends on how you look at things, use verbs and get 6 to 8 months extra life out of your laser vs. saving money on cheaper media. myself, i am a firm believer of verbs, but if i can get a killer deal on memorex ill buy them, and like i said it will most likely shorten the life of the laser but theose come pretty cheap on ebay.
Yup if you want to use Memorex then install the games. I myself despise Memorex since the discs degrade overtime and then you have to reburn them.
I have been using memorex disc since last october and have not had any problems with my drive yet so myself for the price the memorex are better and if the laser does go out you can get one for less than $10 on ebay
I personally don't like memorex because out of a 10 pack the first 4 were coasters and I decided to use the other 6 for video dvds only. And with Verbatims and Memorex nearly having the same price over here my choice is clear.
Yeah, just buy verbatims, they're only less than a dollar for one... it's still a huge saving compared to buying retail games.
Verbatim 2.4X 20 pack for $23.99 and free shipping. I really don't think you can get a better deal than this. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817130008
Kind of standart deal this days, isn't it? http://www.amazon.com/Verbatim-9531...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1246726676&sr=8-1 Would still prefer 8x.
