ive searched the threads but havent found a straight up answer...is it absolutely necessary to mod the xbox by updating the firmware/flashing the hard drive in order to play downloaded games or do new xboxs come with this firmware ... will downloaded games that are properly patched with the security sectors and are ixtreme compatible run on the newest xboxs without needing to mod is my real question? (my hope is that these new consoles have all the newest firmware updated in em)
ya, they come premodded from MS, they figured they would cut out everyone having to buy the hardware to do it themselves and would save us time. freaking seriously dude, why would you be able to go to bestbuy and buy a premodded console??? yes it is necessary to mod the console in order for you to pirate all your games because you cannot go out and buy them.
LoL. the only way to buy a pre-modded xbox is through a reseller that had taken the time to mod it for you. They're usually over-priced. DIY. the xbox at bestbuy and other retail stores are Original/unhacked xboxes. Hence "modding" is required.
