    Not to stir up contreversy, but it seems like every guy with noob status is claiming, or making it painfully obvious they have Anydvd.

    I don't think 29 bucks is worth it really considering it just means you can rip a movie 2 weeks earlier otherwise.

    Most programs like clone/nero etc require you to have something running in the background to bypass the css encryptions.With out it well these programs wont reproduce your dvds.You could also try dvd43

    While I do not doubt that AnyDVD is a good program, I have not used it to date.

    With over 1000 burns and approx 400 movies in my collection, I have get to come across a movie that I cannot rip with DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter. This includes the newer AcRoss protected movies such as Hitch, Bewitched, Batman Begins etc.

    My preferred method of encoding is to use DVD Shrink in re-author mode and run DVD43 in the background - then use Nero to burn.

    Why pay when there are good free alternatives.
