This is my 11th console by the way!

 

Just got my 360 back from repairs it's a new one too.. i don't know how to stop them from charging my parents credit card every month because they get soooo pissed and ground me and I think it did it again.. but just intime for halo 3

 

Call them up and tell them to stop charging your parents card,thats all you got to do

 

Is there any clear cut way to finding out if a console at a retail store is a falcon merely by looking at something on the box such as a manufacture date or the serial?

 

simple answer , buy an elite .thous will never crap out on you.

 

eleites are the same as the premiums just in a black shell. there is nothing about them that makes them run any cooler. they still have the 90nm processor so they still have problems.

 

Actually they use the new Zephyr motherboard and they seem to perform better. They aren't falcons but they aren't the old models either. The only sure way of getting a Falcon is wait a little but, the old model is already discontinued and eventually they will run out of the old stock.

 

man i'm so sick and tired of microsoft. it's been rumored (with strong supporting cases) that microsoft ships MOST of it's products out at 49% functionality ... wtf is that. vista sucks the 360 sucks. wtf are they doing with our consoles. a friend of mine's xbox lasted under a month, NEVER moved it WHATSOEVER it laid on a glass entertainment system with very sufficient space and one day stopped reading any discs. so he sent that one in and what'd he get back 2 months later: SOMEBODY ELSE'S XBOX! it had accounts bound to the bloody thing! WTF! so he didn't even keep it he sent that piece back and is still waiting for a replacement.. another friend of mine had his xbox pooch out on reading discs so he sent that in 2 months ago, he calls microsoft weekly and EVERYTIME they say "we're not sure of the status on your console. please call back in 5-7 days". in addition, my xbox is screaming loud.. i should be receiving a coffin soon.. have they got monkeys repairing/building these f*cking things or what.

 

lol true that.. mine had 2 problems b4 i sent it back. first i got the 3 red light error, so i did the towel trick to fix it, it worked alright but i gotta wrap it up in a towel every month which was very annoying and i i got really pissed when it stopped reading games.. i donno wuts wrong with it, coz it reads DVD and movies fine :|

when i put in a game the video comes up saying

'this is a xbox game, put it in a xbox to continue!'

it is in a bloody xbox unless if its too dum to notice.

 

You guys need to get off your behind and go call MSFT up! They are putting in new technologies in their consoles(better heatsinks and I think better quality control these days) that your new one should NOT have any problems.

Slickroy the best way to fix your xbox is to actually CALL them up and USE your 3 year warranty. That's what it's there for!

 

11 360s that dont even sound right but if you say so ok then thats what it is.

 

You know what joint the club, I've had 11 broken ones too. My final one is working fine and I believe that they have finally gotten the issues down.

 

i did lolz, they fixed it, i got it back last week but its the same 1 that i sent in, i wonder how long it will last this time, but the air comes out the back seems to be cooler, and they changed the dvd drive in it to the BenQ, i had the samsung one b4, i wander how long this one will last

 

I bought my 360 december of 06... i got the three rings like 3 weeks ago it turn on somtimes but then crashes... what things can i try to stop this problem becasue i have heard people do certain things to fix them...

hey guys i bought xbox360 console before 3 days brand new flashed with ixtreme 1.2 as the store said,,its pal was made on 8-3-2006(MFD)
first question is how can i be sure if i have the newest firmware(ixtreme 1.20)
second question,, i still have no games still downloading but i turn it on everyday around 3 hours paly dvd movies,, does that mean that its in a good condition? it works perfectly on dvd movies

 

I'm guessing if it plays DVD movies the DVD drive is fine. You wont find the other answers here though, you posted in the wrong thread. Try posting in a more relevant thread or if you can't find one then make one. You will probably get more help that way.
