My 360 is far away from my crappy DSL wired internet. I haven't connected much and the last time I connected was back in freaking March. Anyway, do you have to stealth patch your games even if you're not going to play online? Don't want to scratch that precious GRiD disc...
All I can tell you is that using ABGX is a real simple process that takes no time. I once burned a game, forgetting to stealth it first, and it didn't play. So I'm sure it sets it up appropriately to be ready for burning. To answer your question though, I would say that if there's even the slightest possibility you will get online for anything (DLC, etc) then its better to reduce the risk of a banning. If there's no possible way you're getting online then you can do without it.
Advice: Listen to Railroad. ABGX360 only takes a few minutes, and does the work for you. Well worth the extra 3 minutes.
For some reason, I can't seem to find any questions about abgx in the op's post. He already has the game burnt and states he doesn't want to burn another. So he asked a simple question. pspcow, you don't need to patch if your firmware will play it and you're not online. See guys, now wasn't that a nice, easy answer.
Would have been nice if you had told him that he either had to use one shot boot mode everytime if he is on iXtreme 1.6 with an unstealth game or couldn't load this game on any other version of iXtreme (with the exeption of 1.41 maybe). So yes, if you are running any newer firmware on your drive (which I assume, as you said that you went online in march for the last time) you have to make sure your (downloaded) games are stealth patched. If you make your own backups, no, you don't have to stealthpatch these.
Seeing how he didn't specify which firmware he was running, that's why I said "if your firmware will play it"
Then I will waste the 3 extra minutes then... But these G(a)M(e)Z take so much time to (down) (load). Thanks for help
