If you just rip the game to the XBOX using DVD2XBOX will that work? As long as you have a mod chip... and..do you have to use a dashboard to boot the games? because i heard a couple places you dont have to, but if not, why are they so highly recommended? thx
Yeah you can, and I mentioned that in the guide. Also, you don't necessary have to get a dashboard, but if you want the best from your modded xbox, it's best to get one. And without a dashboard, there's not even a point of ripping games to the hdd, cause you wouldn't be able to see them. Without a dashboard, you can't FTP either, which means you won't be backing up games to the PC. So in other words, you're very limited without a dashboard. You COULD play backups, but you couldn't make them.
